Bead Combers was founded in 2002. Michelle Cayer was designing and selling jewelry with a friend. She was often asked how to actually create the jewelry. Soon after she began carrying some beads and tools to the trunk shows. Eventually the “trunk shows” became “create your own jewelry parties”. A number of guests had asked if they could start doing it as well and eventually Fran Stilwell held Michelle to a date to actually have her own “Bead Store that Travels” completed.

That was September 27, 2003. The original regional distributors were invaluable in making Bead Combers what it is today. They helped to perfect what is supplied in the initial inventory, assisted in marketing ideas, jewelry designs……and most of all made Michelle persevere.

We look forward to growing Bead Combers one distributor at a time and continuing the culture of sincere, energized, dynamic people that it is today. We always welcome new entrepreneurial ideas and want everyone to be a part of the whole. We are not to be confused with a multi-level marketing organization. We consist only of Bead Combers Corporate, the Distributors and the Sales Representatives that the distributors hire.

Our vision is to be a nationally recognized brand in 40 of the 50 states by Q4 2006 with a total of 80 successful distributors. Our monthly Sales Calls will grow to include yearly conferences in locations such as Nantucket and Bermuda. Bead Combers will have additional affiliate relationships with suppliers, national store fronts, an in-house marketing department, children’s party kits, new and exciting lines that will appeal to our customer base. If and when the bead trend EVER dies down we will have a national organization and distribution channel to bring the next trend to market.
