For years I dreamed about quitting my career to consult and do something creative. When I finally had the opportunity I took it! A friend of mine and I decided to make jewelry and sell it at in home parties.

Guests of the parties started asking me how I made the jewelry so I began to take my “kit” with me along with the pre-made pieces. Soon I stopped bringing pre-made designs and concentrated entirely on the concept of teaching others to make their own jewelry.

They loved it! They were creating what would have cost over $100 in boutiques for around

$50 and they made it themselves!

Along the way people asked if they could “do it too”. I would explain Bead Combers isn’t a “company” – it was just me. In the Summer of 2003 a guest at a party, Fran, pushed me to seize the opportunity. In less than 6 months it was a “company”– we grew to 7 Distributors and a number of Sales Representatives, a retail location and a line of designer jewelry that we combed out across the country.

Thank you to many friends and family members that have helped along the way with their talents as well as their support and belief that Bead Combers would be a success. Also, many thanks to the individuals that have joined Bead Combers. They have been informative, enthusiastic, creative, but most of all supportive!!!!
